Ireland's first dedicated menopause clinic
Which hormone is doing this?
Three hormones fall, and the symptoms that follow turn up in places nobody connects to menopause. Take one hormone away and see exactly what goes with it.
Switch a hormone off above. Every symptom its fall can cause will light up, in that hormone's colour.
Book a 30-minute assessment
What falling hormones take with them
Oestrogen, progesterone and testosteroneThere are well over forty recognised symptoms of menopause. These are the twenty-three we attribute to a specific hormone on our own clinical pages. Some symptoms have causes other than menopause, so if something concerns you, please have it checked.
You cannot tell which hormone it is by looking at the symptom
Fatigue sits under oestrogen and testosterone. Mood swings sit under oestrogen and progesterone. Lower sex drive sits under progesterone and testosterone. That is why we assess before we prescribe, and why the appointment is thirty minutes rather than ten.
Peri-menopause is the transition itself, and it starts eight to ten years before menopause. Most women notice it in their forties. Most hormone blood tests taken at that stage come back reading normal, which is exactly why so many women are told nothing is wrong.
Menopause is not only an age-driven event either. Early menopause, before forty-five, affects around five per cent of women. Premature menopause, before forty, affects around one per cent. We see premature, surgical, peri and post-menopause, and we see all of it in one place.
Your first appointment is thirty minutes with a menopause doctor, in Mount Merrion, in Santry, or by video if getting to a clinic is the hard part. Bloods, smears, coil fittings and implants are done here rather than sent somewhere else.
Every cluster lands on someone in this building

The Menopause Hub Academy
We also work on the other side of the problem
Roughly a third of your working life now falls after menopause begins. We train employers to handle that properly, through CPD-accredited awareness and education programmes delivered live or by e-learning, and we run the Menopause Friendly Workplace Awards in partnership with Great Place to Work.
“Loretta ran a fantastic session building awareness around the Menopause, what to expect and how to create the right support for employees going through it. The feedback we got from the talk was overwhelming positive.”
Tracy Murphy, Senior Director, Kellogg
“Loretta's presentation ‘Menopause, a case for change’ was excellent, informative, engaging and helpful. It challenged the secrecy and taboo of talking openly about menopause in the workplace.”
Christine O'Kelly, Dublin City University
“Thank you Loretta for delivering such a wonderfully educational seminar for An Post, we have learned so much, and all attendees are now fully fledged Menopause Ambassadors!”
Danielle Bouchier, Diversity & Inclusion Manager, An Post
It started because nobody could tell me what was happening
Hot flushes, broken sleep, migraines, weight gain, no energy. I hesitated before saying any of it at work, in case it was read as age rather than hormones. There was nowhere in Ireland set up to deal with it properly, so in December 2018 we opened the first place that was.
Since then we have campaigned for free HRT, which the Irish government introduced on 1 June 2025, and in 2024 we founded the Menopause Hub Academy so employers could stop guessing too.
Two clinics, and a video room
Mount Merrion and Santry, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.00pm. If neither suits, the same appointment runs by video.
